I have found very little information about Chenault guitars. What I have found suggests they were produced at the Yaji Musical Factory in Guangdong, China. While it was cheap, it had one of the best setup and actions action I've ever seen on an acoustic. Far better than most off the shelf Fender and Gibsons I've found. Despite a large hole on the lower side, this guitar plays great. After a little bit of play it was evident the hole changed the resonate of sound in the instrument. Since I liked the sound of the hole open and closed, so I decided to build a removable leather cover. It really worked out far better than expected.
